Last updated Oct 1, 2026. This policy explains what information HostFees ("we") collects when you use hostfees.com and how it's used.
What you type stays on your device
Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us or stored on a server, and CSV files you download are created on your device.
Information collected automatically
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. Cloudflare says it "does not collect or use your visitors' personal data" (Cloudflare docs). We see only aggregate figures such as page views, referring sites, countries and browser types. The analytics script loads only after we turn it on.
Cookies
HostFees itself sets no cookies. If you click an affiliate link, you leave our site, and the partner (for example Amazon or a software company) may set cookies on its site to credit the referral, under its own privacy policy.
Affiliate links and Amazon
Some links are affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon and other partners may collect information about your visit to their sites under their own policies; we receive only aggregate reports of clicks and qualifying purchases, not your identity.
If we offer a newsletter, signing up happens on our email provider's page and is governed by its privacy policy. We use your address only to send the newsletter, and you can unsubscribe from any email. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
We don't sell your data
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and use the site fully without accepting any. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR or California under the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Because we don't hold personal data from calculator use, there's usually nothing to retrieve, but you can still contact us.
Children
HostFees is for adults running rental businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top.
